No. Some parents have a referral from a GP or Paediatrician, however to book an assessment and therapy with me it is not essential.

Yes, if your private health insurance has coverage for Speech Pathology, you can claim back a portion of the assessment and therapy fees. Please contact your insurer for specific details.

Yes. Your GP may deem your child eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan (previously known as an Enhanced Primary Care Plan). This Medicare plan enables you to claim back a portion of five therapy sessions per year.

Families granted National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding can allocate funds towards speech therapy sessions, if their funds are Self-Managed or Plan Managed. I am not registered to work with clients using NDIA funding management.

There is no prescribed time frame for therapy, as every child’s therapy is tailored individually depending on their diagnosis and severity. Regular home practise is crucial to therapy.

Yes. I conduct therapy at schools and preschools, if permission has been granted by parents/guardians and the school.
